Discipleship at Christ the King
We are a church learning together what it means to worship God, grow in his grace, and serve his mission in Houston. Through Sunday worship, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to care for our neighbors, we help one another follow Jesus in every part of life.
Worship
We are created by God to worship God. Our gathered worship on Sunday mornings is the time and place we gather together to glorify God and be transformed by him. Gathered worship, then, is the highlight of our week and our priority as a church.
Grow
Growing in faith is a lifelong work of grace, and it is not something we do alone. Through classes, Bible studies, Community Groups, and gatherings for children, students, and adults, we learn from Scripture, encourage one another, and discover what it means to follow Jesus in everyday life.
Serve
Serving is a natural response to God’s grace and an important part of following Jesus. Through opportunities within our church, across our city, and around the world, we use our time, abilities, and experience to care for others and take part in God’s work. As we serve together, God works through us and continues to shape us into people who reflect his love in everyday life.
Current Sermon Series
Our lives are filled with countless decisions and questions, and we often long for direction and answers. The book of Proverbs speaks to the practical and complex realities of life, giving us lenses through which to see God’s world rather than our own. Proverbs teaches that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, showing us the best path for relating to God, others, ourselves, and the world around us.
