Bible Study

Our Women’s Bible Studies provide a place for women to grow spiritually through Bible study and prayer.  Through connecting with other women and engaging with God’s Word, we gather to build relationships and grow in grace.  Our goal is to Learn God’s Word and To Love One Another.

Fall and Spring Women’s Bible Study

“But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.’” (Luke 10:41-42)

During the 2015 - 2016 study the women of Christ the King will go through N.T. Wright’s 26 week study of the book of Luke. Our hope is to grow in love for God and His Word by specifically choosing, like Mary, the “good portion” which is Jesus himself. Whether you have been in church all your life, or you are new to church, we hope you will join us as we learn together and love one another along the way. The study will begin on September 16.

Sunday Morning Women's Bible Study

Starting September 20, 8:30 - 9:30 am, The Redeemer Room
We are excited to announce an additional Bible Study opportunity for women. We will meet on the third Sunday of the month at 8:30 am in the Redeemer Room. Join us for a once-a-month meeting as we study Tim Keller’s The Prodigal God. This study dives into Luke 15 in a way that “uncovers the essential message of Jesus, locked inside his most familiar parable.” It will, no doubt, give you a renewed vision of the gracious character of our God. Please mark your calendars for the following dates: Sept 20, Oct 18, Nov 15, Jan 17, Feb 21, Apr 17, and May 15.

Sowing Seeds

Sowing Seeds is designed to nurture connections among families with young children by providing outreach, fellowship and learning activities. This ministry hopes to support parents in growing their children in Christ.  If you have questions about Sowing Seeds, contact Patti Cunningham.

Encouragement for families with young children is important. Play dates and other events are a part of Sowing Seeds’ effort to provide an outlet that helps parents connect and gain support from one another.

Sowing Seeds hosts serving events in which our families with young children can participate. We want young children to know they can make an impact on Houston by serving Christ as they serve our community.

Learning Activities:

Sowing Seeds hosts learning events that can help guide parents in the God-given role of raising children.
