Purpose
At Christ the King, we believe that you and I were created to worship God. Worship occurs when we devote ourselves to something in heart, soul, mind and strength. When we worship anything other than that for which we were created (God), we are left empty.
Christ the King Presbyterian Church exists to worship, know and serve the King so that he is honored and his reign is powerfully extended in Houston and beyond.
We exist at Christ the King to produce real worshippers: people who worship the King of all creation in every facet of their life. In order for this to happen, however, people must rightly know the King. Therefore, we are thoroughly committed to knowing Him as authentically and extensively as possible in this life. This involves first assuring that people are properly connected to Christ (conversion) and then providing grace-centered avenues that encourage sincere growth. When people who genuinely know the King begin to worship Him, not just 'in church' but with their life, they are liberated to serve Him. At this point, worshippers become kingdom-extending agents, spreading wherever they go the life-changing dynamic of Christ the King. The net result is a church with a powerful healing influence upon the city of Houston, our country, and the world.

To be this kind of a church, we offer an open door and a clear path.

Open Door.
Our doors are open wide to people of all backgrounds regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. We are purposely located in a highly visible, central location with non-threatening facilities to say to the city of Houston, "Come in and experience authentic worship with us!"
Clear Path
The path of true spirituality is found when the Christian gospel is experienced in a person's heart. We emphasize what really matters-the inner person, what the Bible calls "the heart" and how that shapes the outer person, our lives.
