Star of Hope ministers to more than 900 men, women, and children every day with Christian care and structured recovery programs. They minister the love of Christ to someone just coming off the street for a place to stay, but Star of Hope also seeks to help the homeless become independent and re-enter mainstream society.

At the Star of Hope Transitional Living Center there are opportunities to serve on a regular basis with the six to eight year old classes. Each child arrives after school and has homework that needs to be completed. After their homework is done the fun really begins when you get to play with them. The time commitment is only about 1 1/2 hours (from 3:30-5:00 Monday - Thursday). This is a great time for students because they are out of school.
