At Christ the King Presbyterian Church children are highly regarded! All that we do with and for our children is done to point them to Christ, his redeeming love, and our great need for him in our lives as Savior and Lord. Just as adults worship, know and serve Christ, opportunites and instruction are provided so that our children may do the same.

Nurseries:

We offer several nurseries for infants and toddlers ages 8 weeks to 2 years old during all Worship services. Our faithful volunteers and wonderful caregivers provide a loving environment for our youngest members. The CTK caregiver staff is certified in CPR and first aid. Two and Three Year Olds (two by Sept. 1st)

"That the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children, so that they shoul set their hope in God."   Psalm 78:6

The two and three year olds meet with teachers all morning for instruction, activities, and play time on Sunday morning. Each week a Bible story is presented to the children to help them understand who God is and what he is like. Follow-up activities, songs, and scripture learnings help our littlest learners as they begin to know and worship the King.

K.I.C.K.S (Kids In Christ's Kingdom) - 1st Service only:

Pre-K to 2nd grade children attend at least the first part of the corporate worship service with their parents. While we welcome and encourage families to involve their children in the entirety of the worship service as much as it is profitable for them, we offer the option for children, Pre-K to 2nd grade, to attend K.I.C.K.S. at the midpoint of our first worship service, just before the pastor's sermon. K.I.C.K.S. seeks to be a multi-sensory, engaging children's worship service that will lead children to worship, know and serve the King through music, a scriptural study of God's attributes, an emphasis on mercy ministry, and awareness of what is happening in God's world. Through the year, children also receive instruction about the Lord's Supper, baptism, and elements of worship, with the goal to enable them to effectively participate in the elements of corporate worship as they mature.

Sunday School for Children:

There are classes for children that meet during the second hour. Bible instruction continues and shows them how their faith impacts their relationship with God, with themselves and with others. Each class time also includes instruction in and opportunities for singing, prayer, and scripture learning.

All classes are led by adult members of Christ the King who are committed to helping children worship, know and serve the King! We count it a privilege to serve the children that the Lord has given us. Please call any of us with questions or comments.
