The work is continuing at a rapid pace on our new permanent facility on Silber Road. For a visual update on the most recent progress, please click here to watch the most recent construction video.
As you watch the video, please remember to take every opportunity possible to pray for the impact this facility will have on our city, nation and world. We are calling this season in the life of our church Every Member Mission, where all of us are called to pray, dream, and work toward God using our new facility to bring many people into relationship with him through the outworking of the gospel. This is an exciting time to be a part of Christ the King. Please make prayer a special priority during these next few months and ask God to extend his kingdom in Houston and beyond through our new facility.
We are also thankful for the Lord's continued provision for us through the EXTEND campaign. As of the end of February, we have collected $11.1 million of the $13.6 million pledged to EXTEND. That leaves $2.5 million remaining to be collected in 2010. We are very grateful for your amazing generosity and praise the Lord for his continued provision. As part of Every Member Mission, we are asking every member of Christ the King to join us in worship this Sunday, March 7 for Commitment Sunday. During the worship service, you will have an opportunity to fill out and turn in a Commit to Serve card that will tell us where you would like to serve in the church between August 1, 2010 and July 31, 2011. Please be in prayer this week for God to reveal to you where he would have you serve and join us Sunday to Commit to Serve.
Children's Ministry Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers to fill a few spots in Sunday school and KICKS (Children's Worship). No teaching is required, just a desire to serve God by loving our children. Please contact Patti Cunningham at the church office if you are interested.
