Code 45, a ministry of Christ the King to 4th and 5th graders, seeks to encourage and support our pre-teens as they grow in their relationship with Jesus and endeavor to live as Christians in this world. Our prayer is that our 4th and 5th graders will authentically worship, know, and serve the King and extend His kingdom.
Sunday mornings begin with hang out time playing games in order to help foster relationships among the students and leaders. We move into a large group time with singing and an interactive lesson. After the lesson, we break into small groups to further discuss the lesson and work on scripture memory.
Socials are planned periodically throughout the year in order to help the children form new friendships and deepen their relationships with each other. Preteens need to know that they are not alone during this challenging time of life. We want them to have Christian friends who will walk with them into the world in order to engage it.
Twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring, the 4th and 5th graders participate in a local mission project that serves either our church or our community. We want to give the kids a vision outside of themselves so that they get a more realistic picture about the world, what God is doing in it, and what their role is in it.
