Mission

City Groups

We want to be a church that loves our city and one of the ways we do this is through our small group ministry called City Groups. These groups function very much like many of our other small groups, however, instead of centering the community on fellowship and Bible study the central activity of these groups is serving.

The demands of living in Houston often leave our best intentions by the way side. To help lean against this City Groups provide the structure and encouragement we need to consistently serve our city while giving an opportunity to grow together.

What to expect from a City Group:

  • You will join the same six to ten people either weekly or bi-weekly to serve with one of our ministry partners in a relational ministry like tutoring, mentoring, or teaching for a ministry year (Sept –May)
  • Groups will share coffee, lunch, or dinner as part of their rhythm giving a natural way to debrief on your experience and share life together
  • Groups meet at various times and in various locations across the city
