Building

Since 1997, we have gathered as a church family in temporary facilities. In those facilities, God has blessed the vision of Christ the King beyond anything we could have anticipated. Now imagine what he might do when we have a place we can call home! Having our own church facility will enable us most responsibly to execute the vision the Lord has entrusted to us. It will significantly enhance every area of ministry and provide us with a physical and visible platform from which to lift high the cross of Christ and powerfully extend his reign in Houston and beyond!

The Site
The congregation voted overwhelmingly to purchase a tract of land as the future home of Christ the King Presbyterian Church. The 7.6-acre tract of undeveloped land is located on Silber Road immediately north of I-10 and just west of Loop 610 (see map).

Building Project Team
The session has appointed a Building Committee to work on the project. The committee members are Leo Schuster, Paul Brow, Roger Cooner, Bob Hansen, Lance Orton, Clay Holland, and Ellen Schuster. This committee oversees the development of the design from the schematic phase into construction documents and design selections, and ultimately, the final completion. The committee will help ensure a timely and budget conscious completion of the building.

The Building Committee is pleased to announce the selection of Tellepsen Builders to construct the facility for Christ the King. Tellepsen brings almost 100 years of building experience to the project and has a dedicated church building division within their organization. For more information on Tellepsen, visit their website by clicking here.

Christ the King has contracted the services of David Light of Lux Corp to be our owner’s representative for the remainder of the project. David’s role will be to manage the building project and keep all the vendors on task and on budget.
