Addressing Anxiety: Applying the Gospel in Community

January 24-March 7, 11:30AM-1:00PM, Christ the King

This 7-week women's group led by Katie Ashby (M.A., LPC-I) aims to develop skills, gain tools, and find support in the battle against anxiety by helping individuals connect with the present moment with the Lord and with other people. The cost is $150 and childcare is available upon request. For more information or to reserve your place in the group, email Katie Ashby at katie.ashby@christtheking.com.

Our Story

Christ the King Counseling Center began as a dream of the leadership of Christ the King Presbyterian Church to create a counseling ministry that would provide expert professional care and discipleship resources to Christ the King members and the Houston community.

Our Approach

Christ the King Counseling Center strives to apply a biblical perspective to the challenges of life. Our philosophy is holistic, and our goal in counseling is to establish a context of growth by guiding individuals and families toward emotional and spiritual wholeness. We are professional counselors, adhering to the highest ethical standards of our State, but are also committed to walking with you in your unique process. We count it one of our greatest privileges to enter into the complexity and wonder of God’s story being written in your life.

Training and Equipping

Christ the King Counseling Center offers regular conferences, training workshops, and classes to equip individuals, couples, and families in counseling-related subjects such as marriage enrichment, parenting, and relationships. “…what is man that you are mindful of him,

the son of man that you care for him?

You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings

and crowned him with glory and honor.”
